Part-Time Master Control Operator – WLIO

Your Hometown Stations is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Television Master Control Operator to support broadcast operations at WLIO. This role is responsible for monitoring and transmitting television programming to ensure accurate, uninterrupted delivery to viewers.


The ideal candidate is comfortable working with technology, able to follow detailed instructions, and dependable during off-hours shifts. No prior broadcast experience is required - training will be provided.


What You Will Do
  • Operate broadcast audio and video equipment
  • Monitor and follow daily program logs accurately
  • Document and report on-air discrepancies or deviations
  • Use email and internal systems for daily communication
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and station staff
  • Support the reliable transmission of television programming
Schedule
  • Part-time hours
  • Nights, weekends, and occasional holidays required
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizen with reliable transportation
  • Basic proficiency with Windows-based computer systems
  • Ability to pass a background check and non-THC drug screen
  • Willingness to learn and follow established broadcast procedures
