Job description

We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Informatica Developer for a Hybrid position in Austin that requires being on-site two to three times a week, with a 6- to 12-month contract.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in Informatica MDM and the interpersonal skills to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on data management practices within a state government agency while working with cutting-edge MDM technology in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform end-to-end MDM implementation, including requirements gathering, schema design, configuration, and rollout
  • Design and implement MDM data models with a focus on demographic and person-centric data (names, addresses, identity attributes, etc.)
  • Configure Informatica MDM Hub, including match/merge rules, trust scores, cleanse functions, and workflow definitions
  • Architect and manage the solution within the Informatica Cloud (IDMC) environment, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with state IT standards
  • Collaborate with agency data stewards to define survivorship rules, data quality thresholds, and stewardship workflows
  • Train data stewards on MDM concepts, tools, and day-to-day processes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to both technical teams and program stakeholders throughout the engagement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of hands-on MDM experience, with at least 3 years implementing Informatica MDM (Hub/360)
  • Strong expertise in MDM data modeling, particularly in demographic and identity domains
  • Proficiency in configuring Informatica MDM Hub components: schema manager, match-merge engine, data stewardship workflows, and landing/staging tables
  • Experience with the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC/IDMC MDM) environment
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences, including government data stewards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Prior experience with state or local government agencies or large public-sector data environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and stewardship operating models
  • Experience integrating Informatica MDM with source systems via APIs or ETL pipelines
