Job description

Job Summary
Golf Course Marshals patrol the golf course to ensure the pace of play is kept up so golfers don't have to wait long periods of time between shots. They assist and answer golfers' questions or concerns, and report maintenance issues and emergencies to the maintenance department as needed.
Job Duties
  • Monitors the pace of place and reduces distractions (Essential)
  • Locates and protects errant golf balls (Essential)
  • Sets up the course in the morning (Essential)
  • Communicates with residents and guests of the golf course in a friendly and courteous manner (Essential)
  • Promotes safety and enjoyment of the spectators (Essential)
  • Fills divots with seed mixture and fixes ball marks on the greens (Essential)
  • Ensures all residents and guests adhere to the golf course dress code
  • Markets the golf course, membership and special rates to the daily fee players
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 6 months in demonstrated knowledge of operating and maintaining electric golf carts, chargers and compressors (Preferred)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • General knowledge of golf course etiquette and rules
  • Professional appearance
