Packaging Technician

Job Type: Part-Time, 32 hours per week
Available Shifts: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (shift availability may vary based on operational needs)
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary
Rodeo Cannabis Co. is a vertically integrated cannabis company with cultivation, manufacturing, and dispensary operations in Connecticut. We are hiring dependable, detail-oriented Packaging Technicians to join our team at our Sterling, CT manufacturing facility. The Packaging Technician produces, labels, and finishes a wide range of cannabis products - including vapes, gummies, pre-rolls, and flower - in full compliance with company and state regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to work in Connecticut's cannabis industry with a growing company committed to quality, compliance, and teamwork.
Available Shifts
  • 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Shift availability may vary based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Package cannabis products according to company SOPs and Connecticut state regulations.
  • Label, seal, and prepare finished products for distribution.
  • Work across multiple product types including vapes, gummies, pre-rolls, and flower.
  • Maintain accurate packaging counts, weights, and production records.
  • Inspect products for quality, consistency, and label accuracy.
  • Verify packaging matches branding and compliance specifications before completion.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and properly sanitized throughout the shift.
  • Follow all company SOPs, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and meeting daily production targets.
  • Assist with additional production and packaging tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to follow strict standard operating procedures in a regulated cannabis environment.
  • Must be able to meet Connecticut cannabis licensing requirements.
  • Must successfully pass a background check as required by Connecticut cannabis industry compliance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in cannabis packaging, manufacturing, or other regulated production environment.
  • Familiarity with seed-to-sale compliance tracking systems such as Biotrack or METRC.
  • Experience working with packaging across multiple product types or formats.
  • Background in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry.
