Job description

Description:

The Rink Attendant is responsible for helping oversee the year-round ice facility to ensure smooth operations, safety, and customer satisfaction. It is essential to be available during night and weekend hours of operation to meet with staff, facility users, and vendors, and be present for routine and special events.


This is a part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours/week. Hours are primarily 8 am - noon, Monday - Friday, year-round.


? Have a thorough knowledge of and uphold all Cushing Academy rules, regulations, and policies.

? Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

? Ability to follow written and verbal directions in a fast and efficient manner.

? Keep accurate records of sales related to the arena.

? Ability to sharpen and repair ice skates or be willing to learn to do so.

? Ability to monitor refrigeration system. (Pumps, motors, gauges, etc.)

? Ability to operate Zamboni or be willing to learn to do so.

? Handle and record large sums of money.

? Ability and willingness to perform manual labor, including but not limited to mopping, lifting, snow removal, etc.

Requirements:

? Ability to work independently.

? Strong self-motivation and effective time-management skills.

? Excellent oral and written communication skills.

? The ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and other school community members.

? Requires climbing, reaching, bending, pulling, and lifting.

? Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

? Some work is done on a slippery surface and in varying environments, including warm and cold temperatures.

? Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines.
