Resident Building Manager (Part-Time)Compensation: $29-$30/hour | Approximately 40-60 hours per month
We are seeking a Resident Building Manager to our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, proactive, and personable professional who enjoys hands-on property management and takes pride in creating a positive living experience for residents.
With a flexible schedule averaging 40-60 hours per month (approximately 10-15 hours per week), hours may be worked during the day, evenings, or weekends, provided availability is distributed consistently throughout the month.
This position is ideal for someone with a full-time job who is seeking supplemental income, on-site housing, and flexible work hours. Maintenance tasks can be completed around your schedule, whether before or after work, in the mornings, evenings, or on weekends.
**California regulations require the selected candidate to live on-site at the assigned property. Generous housing discount is offered.**
Key Responsibilities
Property Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks.
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger repair projects.
Resident Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents regarding non-emergency concerns and maintenance requests.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive resident relationships.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with tenants.
Unit Turns
- Assist with unit preparation between residents, including cleaning, minor repairs, and move-in/move-out inspections.
Building Operations
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, and shared spaces.
- Coordinate access for service providers and contractors.
- Help ensure building security and compliance with community rules.
Emergency Response & Reporting
- Respond appropriately to building emergencies and communicate with management as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, resident concerns, and supply needs.
- Assist with rent-related notices and communications as directed.
Qualifications
- Experience in handyman work, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, or general building maintenance preferred.
- Previous residential, multifamily, or property management experience is a plus.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a high-quality residential environment.
