Job description

Custodian - Part-Time (Utah State Prison) We are currently seeking 8 dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Custodians at the Utah State Prison. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment. Schedule:Monday, Wednesday and Friday6:00 PM - 10:00 PM (4 hours per day) Position Overview: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the building assigned to them.

This role includes both team cleaning and individual responsibilities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.Custodians will follow daily assignments provided by their supervisor and must maintain consistent communication to ensure all duties are completed effectively. Essential Responsibilities: Follow all job duties assigned by the supervisor Perform both team-based and independent cleaning tasks Cross-train in multiple areas within the facility Maintain clear and consistent communication with the supervisor Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude Report broken equipment, safety concerns, or malfunctioning stations promptly General Cleaning Duties: Custodians may be asked to perform the following tasks at any time: Sweep and mop floors Vacuum carpets Dust surfaces Clean and sanitize restrooms Take out trash and replace liners Disinfect high-touch points and surfaces Clean glass doors and windows Clean and polish drinking fountains Maintain kitchens and break rooms Sweep and mop stairwells Wipe down stairwell handrails Clean and polish elevators Keep custodial closets clean, organized, and fully stocked Note: A building-specific schedule will be provided; however, all team members are expected to be flexible and able to perform any of the duties listed above as needed.
