Job Brief
Help maintain the smooth operation of our production facility making high quality roll and bread products! Join our maintenance team and make up to $30.33/hr to start plus a $3.00/hr shift differential, and time and half pay on weekends!

We started with pastries handmade by Lois and Lloyd Martin produced inside of a garage and we have boomed into a multi-facility company where our many products are produced by machines and shipped domestically and internationally. As a member of the Martin's Family, a maintenance technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
Schedule: As a Part-Time employee you will not work more than 30 hours/week. You are required to work a minimum 2 days/week but no more than 3 days/week. 2 of the days worked must be Sunday, Monday or Thursday. You can choose to work 8, 10 or 12 hour days (5am-1pm, 5am-3pm or 5am-5pm).
Pay: $31.94 per hour. Weekend premium pay on Saturday and Sunday plus differential pay for hours worked 4+ consecutively from 3pm-7am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts a device to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
  • Repairs electrical equipment.
  • Ability to weld stainless and aluminum.
  • Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors.
  • Adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical and electronic pneumatic relays.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Operates handsaw, drill press, and electric drill.
  • Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and uses all tools carefully and as instructed.
  • Works flexible hours to meet project/task deadlines.
  • Communicates with supervisor regarding task assignment, task completion and deviation from task schedule.
  • Maintains and complete task schedule including written and verbal requests.
  • Communicates suggestions, questions and concerns to supervisor.
  • Works effectively, efficiently and positively with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of work area.
  • Adheres to safety, food safety, quality and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
  • Reports safety, food safety, and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Adjust functional parts of device and control instruments.
  • Maintain knowledge of drawings, blueprints, schematics and inspection manuals.
  • Ability to perform minor plumbing.
  • Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance.
  • Responsible for loss or damage of maintenance tools and materials.
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by examining mechanical devices, utilizing precision measuring, testing instruments, and listening for problems.

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to five years Industrial Maintenance experience.
