Job description

Lighthouse Academy is looking for a fun, dependable, and energetic team member to join our school-age program!

We are seeking an After-School Teacher to help care for and engage our school-age children during the afternoon hours.

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–6:00 PM

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, positive environment
  • Help plan and participate in fun activities, games, crafts, and outdoor play
  • Support homework/quiet time as needed
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
  • Follow all Lighthouse Academy and DCFS health and safety guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
What We’re Looking For
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children
  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Previous childcare or school-age experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
