Job description
Lighthouse Academy is looking for a fun, dependable, and energetic team member to join our school-age program!
We are seeking an After-School Teacher to help care for and engage our school-age children during the afternoon hours.
ScheduleMonday–Friday | 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
What You’ll Do- Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe, positive environment
- Help plan and participate in fun activities, games, crafts, and outdoor play
- Support homework/quiet time as needed
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow all Lighthouse Academy and DCFS health and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Someone who genuinely enjoys working with children
- Reliable, responsible, and dependable
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Previous childcare or school-age experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
