Job Summary:
This position works approximately 25 hours per week and performs circulation and customer service functions. Answers directional, reference, and technology questions and refers patrons to requested materials. Plans and assists with library programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Performs circulation duties, such as checking materials in and out, handling bills and notices, placing items on hold, processing courier delivery, processing a variety of reports, and patron account maintenance.
-Assists with, plans, and implements library programs and community outreach activities for all ages.
-Assists patrons with reference, computer, and library equipment questions and support.
-Responsible for managing interlibrary loans process.
-Serves on internal and external committees and workgroups focused on improving library functions and library programming, including collaborative work implementing grant award requirements.
-Responsible for shelving materials and shelf maintenance.
-Curates crates of materials for patrons and organizations who utilize the delivery service.
-Prepares bulletin boards and other displays.
-Schedules and manages meeting room reservations.
-Performs other library tasks and duties, as assigned, at assigned locations including library branches in Birnamwood, Bonduel, Mattoon, Tigerton, Wittenberg, and the main circulation and Children's desks at the main branch in Shawano.
Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED.
-Knowledge of Windows-based computer operations, library methods and procedures, and Microsoft Office programs.
-General office experience.
