Position: Branch Generalist I
$16.00 / Hour
9:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We are currently in search of a Branch Generalist to support our local team. This part time seasonal position offers sick time, a generous 50% off discount on Scholastic merchandise, and a 401k with a company match.
Qualified candidates will be able to assist the Branch Leadership Team with administrative tasks along with additional functions in the warehouse. This candidate will support our mission to encourage reading and promote lifelong learning, and demonstrate our values of caring and respect for all people.
SUMMARY
Associates with the title of Branch Generalist I must learn, demonstrate proficiency, and meet all productivity and quality requirements of the following duties and responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May Demonstrate proficiency in all POS (EZ scan) tech functions
Coordination and volunteer scheduling for warehouse sales
Perform Misc. Warehouse sale EZ scan functions
Monitor, maintain, and order office, breakroom, and restroom supplies
Assist with various branch functions, i.e. labor data card entry, PO invoicing, Scholastic Dollar adjustments, new hire paperwork, production planning release, etc.
Monitor and maintain costumes, cash drawers, various marketing and setup kit items
May perform all PC related duties as needed
Responsible for proper handling of product at all times
Utilize all equipment and tools according to process and procedure
Follow all safety policies, processes, and procedures at all times
Complete daily Labor Data Collection cards accurately according to company standards
Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards
Maintain a professional and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers
Drug and alcohol free policy compliance
Other duties as assigned
At any time may perform tasks associated with other position descriptions as part of individual and team development
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Must be able to lift boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs occasionally on a daily basis.
Must be able to lift boxes that weigh up to 30 lbs to a height of 70" occasionally on a daily basis.
Must be able to push wheeled cases, which may weigh in excess of 300 lbs, with an initial force of up to 50 lbs and a sustained force of up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to stand, reach above and below the shoulders, squat, bend and kneel as necessary to perform the job.
Must be able to tolerate work in a non-air conditioned environment.
Must be able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
