Eligibility Requirements
  1. Must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current award year
  2. Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress standards
  3. Must be enrolled in at least half-time. (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate) per semester
  4. Must have a federal need of at least $2,000
  5. Submit all requested financial aid documentation from your To-Do-List by the due date
  6. Must have an official award notification from the Financial Aid Office
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible non-citizen, or permanent resident

Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, the student is responsible for the receipt of library supplies ordered by the Pfau Library administration and delivery of supplies to appropriate staff, as well as the daily delivery of mail to all library departments and staff. Our department is also involved with the receiving and processing of library gift donations. Our ambition is to attract and retain the best talent in the market to continue our journey building a world class in-house Library Technical Services team while carrying out the Universities mission and vision statement.
Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, duties include but not limited to:
Gifts:
- Assist with on-campus donation pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Process gifts/book donations. (count / sort / box)
- Assist with bibliographic dup-checking of all book donations in ALMA for Librarian reviews.
- Search stacks for library materials.
- Assist with the processing of donor gift acknowledgment letters.
- Assist with year-end gift report of Library Material donations.
Inventory:
- Perform collection inventory by scanning library materials.
- Based on inventory reports from ALMA, pull any noted library materials for supervisor review.
- Search for not-on-shelf / missing titles.
- Reshelve library materials as needed from inventory reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
  • Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student.

Required Qualifications:
  • Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
  • International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card

- Able to lift heavy boxes and push a full cart of books.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
Compensation and Benefits:
Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
Position Information:
Work status: Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal
Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm).
Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm).

Background Check

Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check when required may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Driver's License Check
Possession of a valid Driver's License may be required. Employees in this position will be enrolled in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Government Employer Pull Notice Program which confirms possession of a valid driver's license and reflects driving record.
