Job Description
RN Infusion is responsible for providing direct and indirect care to SBL Infusion Services patients. Performs patient or office related duties including but not limited to initiating and maintaining intravenous lines and tubing, administering medication and fluid therapy, educating patients and families on line maintenance and treatment, review patient records, validate medication lists and histories, ensure proper documentation, and monitoring for reactions.

Required: ADN, RN License State of IL, BLs or CPR within 90 days
Pay: Based on experience, starting at $35.43
Responsibilities
Accepts reassignment, at the direction and discretion of management, as applicable to staffing levels and patient volumes, including to all areas by SBL Infusion Services where training has occurred and competency has been established., Assessment- Collects pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation. Recognizes normal and abnormal findings when gathering data. , Cleans and stocks exam rooms and work spaces on an on-going basis to assure that there is an adequate supply. Performs all tasks related to stocking and cleaning in adherence to regulatory and system infection control policies/protocols., Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to address issues related to patients through the process of mutual information sharing, discussion, and decision making., Consistently processes patient charges for procedures and supplies correctly., Coordination of Care- Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients., Diagnosis - Analyzes assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues., Educates patients and families appropriately for their procedures and treatment., Evaluation- Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. Reports data and outcomes to as appropriate to physician and/or other disciplines., Handles patient phone calls for patient education and/or reassurance needs., Implementation - Implements care and supervises care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection control standards., Knowledge - In collaboration with Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, reading current literature and seeking new clinical learning opportunities. , Outcomes Identification - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation., Participates in the ongoing variance monitoring of clinical pathways., Performs general clerical duties, as required, such as receiving and mailing patient test results, validating charges, transcribing data to physical referral forms, ordering supplies, and making calls to patients or other health care team departments. , Planning - Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes., Relationships - Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care team. Identifies and confers with appropriate resources regarding patient care decisions., Takes call after hours as assigned and accepts call coverage at all areas for SBL Infusion Services as directed by management., Teaching - Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
