Job description

Description:

Location: Detroit, Michigan and surrounding areas
Company: Advanced Sentry LLC
Position Type: W-2, part-time, variable-hour, on-call
Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour for approved compensable time worked on active assignments

Job Description

Advanced Sentry LLC is seeking professional, dependable, and mobile individuals for flexible unarmed security assignments in Detroit, Michigan and surrounding areas.

This role is best suited for individuals who are already mobile throughout the Detroit area, spend significant time in their vehicle, or are comfortable accepting nearby assignment opportunities when they are available.

This is a flexible, part-time, variable-hour, on-call opportunity. It is not a full-time position at this time. Hours are not guaranteed, work may be limited in the beginning, and future opportunities may become available based on business needs, client demand, performance, availability, location, and qualifications.

This is an unarmed security role. Employees may only perform assignments they are authorized, qualified, and approved to perform under applicable Michigan law, company policy, and client requirements.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform unarmed mobile security assignments at client locations
  • Maintain a visible, professional, and courteous security presence
  • Observe, document, and report incidents, safety concerns, suspicious activity, or unusual conditions
  • Accept assignment opportunities when available, qualified, and nearby
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, clients, and team members
  • Follow post orders, client instructions, company policies, and applicable legal requirements
  • Complete activity logs, incident reports, and assignment documentation as required
  • Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients, staff, residents, visitors, or the public
  • Represent Advanced Sentry LLC in a professional manner at all times while on assignment
Work Structure
  • W-2, part-time, variable-hour role
  • Flexible, on-call assignment opportunities
  • No guaranteed hours or fixed schedule
  • Work may be limited in the beginning
  • Assignments are offered as client needs arise
  • Employees may accept opportunities when they are available, qualified, and able to respond
  • The app may notify closer, qualified, or more available mobile responders first
  • Keeping the app active to receive opportunities is voluntary unless otherwise stated in writing for a paid assignment or paid scheduled period
  • Employees are paid for approved compensable time worked on active assignments
  • Future opportunities may become available based on business needs, performance, reliability, availability, location, qualifications, and client demand
Important App and Availability Notice

This role uses an app or dispatch system to notify eligible employees of available assignment opportunities.

Having the app on does not guarantee work. Employees are not required to remain on the app all day, are not guaranteed assignments, and are not considered actively working simply because the app is available in the background.

Employees are paid for approved compensable time worked on active assignments. If an employee accepts an assignment, they must follow all dispatch instructions, post orders, reporting requirements, and company policies for that assignment.

Compensation
  • Starting pay: $25.00 per hour
  • Paid for approved compensable time worked on active assignments
  • Minimum pay per assignment may apply depending on assignment details
  • Overtime, if applicable, will be paid in accordance with applicable federal and Michigan law
  • Any incentive, bonus, minimum assignment pay, or special availability pay must be approved by the company and may be modified or discontinued based on business needs, client demand, response volume, and applicable law
Important Role Notice

This is not a full-time position at this time. This is a flexible, part-time, variable-hour opportunity intended as a workforce development starting point. Hours are not guaranteed, and assignments may be limited in the beginning.

Candidates who are already mobile throughout the Detroit area may have more opportunity to receive nearby assignment notifications. Static or non-mobile candidates may receive fewer opportunities because assignments may come from different areas throughout the city and surrounding region.

Employees may not perform other paid driving, delivery, courier, mobile, or security work at the same time they are actively performing an Advanced Sentry assignment.

Unarmed Position Notice

This is an unarmed security position. Employees are not authorized to carry or use weapons while performing Advanced Sentry assignments unless specifically authorized in writing by the company and permitted under all applicable laws, licensing requirements, client requirements, and company policies.

Equal Opportunity Statement

Advanced Sentry LLC is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, business needs, availability, location, performance, reliability, and applicable legal requirements.

Advanced Sentry LLC complies with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

Requirements:Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet all applicable company, client, and Michigan requirements for unarmed security work, including but not limited to:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States
