Job description

A growing law practice in Southfield is seeking a Part-Time Legal Secretary to provide administrative and legal support in a professional yet relaxed office environment. This position offers 20โ€“30 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling and the potential for increased hours and responsibilities as the right candidate grows with the firm.

Compensation: $20/hour

Responsibilities
  • Draft, proofread, and prepare legal correspondence and documents
  • Manage attorney calendars, appointments, and deadlines
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
  • Assist with document preparation, filing, and general office administration
  • Support probate and estate planning matters as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of legal secretary or legal administrative experience required
  • Probate and estate planning experience strongly preferred
