Each group’s name means **“The People”** in their own language, reflecting their deep cultural identity and connection to the Earth. Your skills in carpentry, mechanics, and painting will be put to good use as you perform carpentry assignments, including concrete work and fencing, while also maintaining drainage structures, bridges, and culverts. Operating a range of equipment from light trucks to heavy machinery, you will tackle landscape construction, manage sprinkler systems, and conduct grounds maintenance.You will assist with mechanical upkeep of pumps and valves, as well as support the repair of streets and sewer systems. Additionally, basic framing, flooring, and installation of cabinets and doors will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring you play a vital role in maintaining our community's infrastructure. Each day will bring new challenges and opportunities to showcase your skills!Requirements for this Seasonal Maintenance I jobTo excel as a Full Time Seasonal Maintenance I at the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, candidates must possess a combination of technical skills and practical experience. A high school diploma or GED certificate is required at the time of hire, along with a valid Nevada Driver’s license to qualify for the RSIC Vehicle Insurance Program. Successful applicants should be at least 21 years old and demonstrate a strong ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.Effective communication skills in English—both verbal and written—are essential for collaborating with team members and reporting on project status.
