Role Summary:Â
The Facilities Maintenance Tech position supports the Senior Facilities Manager & Community Director at our new Kiln Reno Location in executing the upkeep and general maintenance of the facility, coordinate with vendors when needed, aids staff by repairing reported issues, installing, and moving furniture, maintaining appliances, and assisting our team to ensure a pleasing atmosphere for the coworking community. Kiln Reno is located near the intersection of Plumb Lane and Virginia Street. We expect that this role will work 20 hours per week. We strive to maintain scheduling flexibility, while ensuring that the majority of each shift (approximately 75%) overlaps with standard business hours to support collaboration with the community team.

Facilities Maintenance:
- Patching and painting drywallÂ
- Paint touch-upsÂ
- Fixing furnitureÂ
- Hanging whiteboardsÂ
- Hanging TVsÂ
- Fixing or installing appliancesÂ
- Moving office panelsÂ
- Moving office desksÂ
- Hanging artÂ
- Fixing Door LocksÂ
- Moving furnitureÂ
- Scheduled Preventative Maintenance ie. HVAC Filters, water filtersÂ
- Maintain inventory of stored itemsÂ
- Schedule and manage temp staff, contractors, and vendors
- Manage relationships and negotiate preferred pricing/bids
- Coordinate approved capital projects as directed by the Community Director/Build and Procurement TeamÂ
- Ensure compliance with all warranties and state/federal requirementsÂ
Ideal Experience and Skills:
- Finish Carpentry or Painting experience is preferred Â
- Handy Man Experience is preferred.Â
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skillsÂ
- Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, follow and empathyÂ
- Passion and understanding for Kiln’s mission and valuesÂ
- Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and property repair
- Ability to identify issues without being asked
- Self-starter, critical eye for what needs to be done
