Job Description

CSN is seeking part-time instructors to teach Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) courses and actively contribute to department leadership. Teaching assignments will include courses related to physical therapy practice and may include opportunities for involvement in departmental initiatives and program support.

Core Responsibilities

Teaching Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Teach courses that prepare students for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

  • Develop and deliver instruction in assigned courses, which may include classroom and online teaching formats.

  • Teach courses at various CSN campuses, with assigned locations, days, and times varying by semester.

  • Be available to teach morning, afternoon, evening, and/or weekend courses based on program needs.

  • Teach courses within areas for which the instructor is qualified.

Leadership Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Collaborate with PTA faculty on course development, curriculum improvements, and textbook selection.

  • Oversee specialty lab areas and classrooms within assigned subject areas.

  • Participate in and/or lead department and college-wide committees.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be either a licensed Physical Therapist or licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.

Salary

$925.00 per lecture credit, $57.81 per lab hour. Courses/Credits assigned may vary by semester.
