Job description

MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN (will hire either MLT or MLS)
Aspirus Stanley Hospital, Stanley, WI
Part Time or .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period
8-hour varied shifts primarily Monday - Friday, occasional weekends as needed

The Medical Laboratory Technician performs chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory that require the exercise of independent judgement and interpretation. All individuals in the job classification meet the qualifications necessary to perform high complexity testing as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA 88).
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices is normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree in Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Previous applicable experience beneficial.
  • Possesses and maintains active Medical Lab Technology (MLT-ASCP) or CLT-NCA certification or equivalent or attains within 12 months of hire.
  • Current BLS certification may need to be obtained.
