Job description

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for a part-time Journalism Instructor. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as part-time teaching assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Part-time/adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching the objectives for any course assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Master's Degree with 24 graduate hours in Communications, Composition, English, English Education, Grammar, Journalism, Linguistics, Literature, Reading, Reading Education, Writing, a combination of the above, and/or three years practical work experience as reporter or editor in print journalism.

STARTING PAY AND HOURS
Salary varies based on educational level and number of units taught. Starting rates for the current Academic Year can be viewed on SWIC's Employment page .
