About the job Bookkeeper - Japanese Bilingual A well-established Japanese accounting firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with accounting knowledge to join our team. Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to: Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable Processing invoices and payments Reconciling bank and credit card statements Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations. Communicate effectively in both Japanese and English with clients and internal team members. Maintain confidentiality of financial information. Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Approximately 7 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role, preferably in an accounting firm. Strong understanding of general accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. Fluency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal) is essential.
