Job description

Data Entry (Mon-Fri 1:30pm-10pm)

ABB OPTICAL GROUP, one of the nation's leading distributors of optical products, is continuing to grow and hiring team oriented, career minded individuals who can work in a fast-paced environment as one of our Data Entry Associates. This is a full time, direct hire position with full benefit package.

Essential Functions (as applicable per lab/department):

  • Input lists, records and other data into Absolution software program.
  • Coordinates correspondence of orders, invoices and records to ensure accuracy in prescription billing.
  • Communicate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate production.
  • Process invoicing and credits as required for customers.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and provide resolution support customer service issues in a timely fashion.
  • Work safely and quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross train in additional areas around the lab.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience is required for full-time employment.
  • Entry-level: No specific prior work experience required; training provided to enable employees to perform the minimum essential functions identified by their respective lab/department.
  • Proficient: Minimum six (6) months of optical manufacturing experience in same or similar position prior to skills assessment to determine ability to perform all applicable essential functions identified by their respective lab/department.
  • Ability to follow procedure and contribute as an individual and a team member.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literate.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required.

Work Environment: The work environment is a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $15.50. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan. Full-time employees and/or their eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company-sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, group life insurance, voluntary supplemental life insurance, supplemental health benefits (critical illness, hospital, accident), short- and long-term disability, paid family leave (applicable states), 401k, tuition reimbursement, and eyewear discounts.
