Job description

Part-Time Leasing Professional
Position Overview
The first impression of a community rarely starts with the apartment. It starts with the person who answers the phone, responds to the inquiry, welcomes someone through the door, and helps them picture what life could look like at The Preserve.
RISE is looking for a Part-Time Leasing Professional who can turn interest into connection and connection into signed leases. You will guide prospective residents through the leasing process, support current residents, and help keep the leasing office organized, responsive, and ready for every opportunity.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk and wait for traffic. We need someone who is comfortable starting conversations, following up consistently, asking for the lease, and creating an experience people remember.
Why RISE
At RISE, leasing is about more than filling apartments. It is about building trust, creating a strong community, and helping people feel confident about where they choose to live.
You will join a team that values accountability, teamwork, and people who take ownership of their results. This part-time opportunity is a strong fit for someone looking to build experience in property management, sales, customer service, or real estate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome prospective residents and provide a professional, engaging first impression of The Preserve.
  • Conduct community and apartment tours that highlight the features, benefits, and overall resident experience.
  • Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and walk-in traffic.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and guide them through the application and leasing process.
  • Clearly explain rental rates, availability, lease terms, policies, and community amenities.
  • Assist applicants with completing applications and submitting required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate prospect, application, and leasing information in the property management system.
  • Support resident events, outreach efforts, marketing activities, and social media content.
  • Build positive relationships with current residents and help resolve routine questions or concerns.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities, including filing, preparing leasing materials, and maintaining an organized office.
  • Follow all Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and leasing procedures.
  • Support the property team during peak leasing periods, move-ins, renewals, and other community initiatives.
What Success Looks Like
  • Prospective residents receive fast, professional, and consistent communication.
  • Tours feel personal, informative, and focused on the prospect’s needs.
  • Follow-up does not stop after the first conversation.
  • Applications and leasing documents are completed accurately and on time.
  • The leasing office remains organized, welcoming, and prepared.
  • Residents and prospects view you as dependable, knowledgeable, and easy to work with.
  • You contribute to the community’s leasing, occupancy, and resident-retention goals.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, hospitality, retail, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with new people, conducting tours, and asking for the lease.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple prospects, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn property management and leasing software.
  • Professional, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including some weekends and peak leasing periods.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required based on community responsibilities.
This Position May Be a Fit If
You enjoy meeting new people and can make them feel comfortable quickly. You understand that strong leasing results come from disciplined follow-up—not luck. You are comfortable balancing sales, customer service, and administrative work, and you do not need to be reminded to finish what you start.
Most importantly, you want a part-time role where your energy, attitude, and effort directly affect the success of the community.
About RISE
RISE is a vertically integrated real estate organization focused on developing, building, and managing communities where people can live, work, and thrive. Our teams are committed to creating strong resident experiences, delivering results, and taking pride in the communities we serve.
