We have an opening in our Customer Service department for an Customer Service Rep 1 (Part Time). Job Description
The Customer Service Representative 1 is responsible for providing excellent customer service by responding to customers who contact the company via inbound calls in a professional and efficient manner and satisfactorily resolving their concern. This could include arranging service or emergency response, interpreting customer records and account history, finding information on the Internet such as assessor information or credit card details, and interpreting customer accounts, including transfers, billing, and collections.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering customer calls through the call center.
  • Interpret customer records and account history to respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding transfers, billing, service, collection and payments.
  • Utilize Customer Information System to access data and/or generate reports.
  • Connecticut Water Company is committed to providing a safe workplace. This position is responsible for learning, following and ensuring compliance with all safety rules. This includes rules and regulations in the Company Safety Manual, OSHA regulations and other state, federal, or governing body's rules and regulations.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualification
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service experience required.
  • Must be fully proficient at intermediate level or above in MS Office Outlook.
  • Experience with proprietary Customer Information System (CIS) strongly preferred. JD Edwards experience a plus.
  • Excellent data entry skills, includes speed and accuracy. Attention to detail critical in all aspects of duties is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Company rules and regulations preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
