INTERIOR DESIGNER/DECORATOR ASSISTANT - PART-TIME
Location: Myrtle Beach, SC
Reports To: Owner/Lead Designer
Employment Type: Part-Time, 25-30 hours per week
Pay Rate: Based on experience and qualifications
Olsten Staffing is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Interior Designer/Decorator Assistant in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. The Designer Assistant will support the Owner/Lead Designer with the planning, coordination, and execution of interior design projects while providing administrative, organizational, and client support.
Key Responsibilities
Design Support
  • Assist with developing design concepts, sketches, layouts, and presentations.
  • Research design trends, colors, materials, furnishings, and market developments.
  • Help source fabrics, materials, furniture, dรฉcor, and other design components.
  • Maintain organized design files and project documentation.
  • Help keep subcontractors and project tasks on schedule.
Project Coordination
  • Track project timelines and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and site visits.
  • Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Assist with preparing project proposals and presentations.
Administrative Duties
  • Manage correspondence, emails, and phone calls.
  • Organize and maintain office records and digital files.
  • Process orders, invoices, and purchase requests.
  • Maintain inventory of samples, supplies, and design materials.
  • Perform general office and administrative duties as needed.
Client Support
  • Assist with client presentations and meetings.
