Job description

The Room Attendant is responsible for providing a clean, comfortable, and sanitized environment for all guests by servicing guest rooms in accordance with Hyatt brand standards, health and safety guidelines, and hotel procedures. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing assigned guest rooms in accordance with applicable brand standards. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  •  Removing all rubbish from waste bins  
  •  Making beds with fresh linen 
  •  Dusting furniture, lamps, shades, pictures, doors, and fixtures 
  •  Vacuuming and spotcleaning carpets 
  •  Cleaning, washing, and drying all bathroom areas 
  •  Replacing guest supplies in rooms and bathrooms 
  •  Washing paintwork and doors as requested by the Floor Supervisor 
  •  Reporting linens or bedding requiring replacement 
  •  Assisting guests courteously, including removal of trays or newspapers 
  •  Collecting and returning worksheets, HotSOS devices, and keys each shift 
  •  Reporting rooms with Do Not Disturb signs or those not requiring service 
  •  Reporting rooms requiring extra cleaning per established procedures 
  •  Safeguarding master keys and hotel property 
  •  Reporting malfunctioning equipment, maintenance needs, or safety hazards 
  •  Reporting suspicious activity to Security 
  •  Handling lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures 
  •  Ensuring guest room doors are properly secured 
  •  Maintaining cleanliness and proper use of housekeeping equipment 
  •  Greeting guests promptly and courteously in line with Hyatt service culture 
  •  Performing other duties as assigned by management
