Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Brantford , Ontario.

Job Title: Security Guard - Part-Time Position

Job Location: Brantford , ON

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Shifts: Saturdays & Sundays - (0700-1900, 1900-0700)

Requirement:

  • Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
  • Minimum 1 year of patrolling experience
  • Experience with report writing and note-taking.
  • Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid Ontario security guard license
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 24 hours per week.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

  • Access control for the facility/area
  • Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
  • Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
  • Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
  • Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
  • Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
  • Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
  • Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
