Now Hiring: Part-Time OB/GYN Hospitalist - Flexible Inpatient Opportunity
Location: Goodyear, Arizona
Employment Type: Part-Time (3-4 shifts per month)
Setting: 100% Inpatient High-Acuity Labor & Delivery Unit
Compensation: $170 per hour (based on experience and shift length)
Travel: None
Position Overview
A leading women's health hospital in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Hospitalist to join its inpatient team on a part-time basis. This position is ideal for physicians who want to focus on hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology without outpatient responsibilities.
Enjoy flexible 12-hour or 24-hour shifts in a supportive, high-acuity environment staffed with 24/7 MFM, anesthesia, and L&D support-allowing you to focus exclusively on patient care.
Position Highlights
  • 100% inpatient role with no clinic or follow-up duties
  • Flexible 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available
  • Independent contractor (1099) position
  • Minimal administrative responsibilities
  • Supported by a full multidisciplinary team, including MFM, anesthesia, and experienced nurses

Schedule
  • Monthly Commitment: 3-4 inpatient shifts per month
  • Shift Options: 12-hour or 24-hour schedules available
  • Call Requirements: None outside of scheduled hours

Compensation & Contract Details
  • Hourly Rate: $170/hour (based on shift type and experience)
  • Coverage: Malpractice insurance fully provided (including tail)
  • Reimbursement: Licensing and credentialing fees covered
  • Status: 1099 independent contractor
  • Note: Health insurance, PTO, and employer retirement benefits not included

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital-based setting
  • Manage and deliver care for both low- and high-risk laboring patients
  • Perform cesarean deliveries, vaginal births, and emergency OB/GYN procedures
  • Handle inpatient and emergency department consults
  • Collaborate closely with nursing, anesthesia, and MFM teams
  • Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active or eligible Arizona medical license

Preferred Experience:
  • Prior hospitalist or inpatient OB experience
  • Skilled in surgical and emergency obstetrics
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
