General Purpose:
To ensure quality healthcare dental services, the Dentist provides general dental services to patients. The dentist position is under the general direction and supervision of the CDO.
Essential Duties/Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides oral health treatment, including mandated care (prevention, emergency care, risk assessment), expected care (elimination of disease through extraction, restoration, and endodontics), and optional care (removable and fixed partial dentures), as part of the approved scope of services.
  • Provides dental treatment at multiple STRIDE locations as coverage needs arise.
  • Evaluates dental radiographs and charts to ensure accurate diagnostic findings and assessments.
  • Reviews patient health history and documents existing oral conditions, findings, and assessment/plan into the EHR system.
  • Develops sequenced treatment plans for patients.
  • Arranges referrals and consultations for patients as needed.
  • Collaborates with medical and behavioral providers to coordinate appropriate care for medically compromised patients.
  • Reviews prosthodontic dental lab cases with the dental lab technician to coordinate appropriate treatment for patients.
  • Participates in the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program, including peer chart reviews and quality improvement activities.
  • Attends staff meetings and other assigned meetings as the provider schedule allows.
  • Participates in continuing education courses to stay current with dental industry information.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a community healthcare dental clinic is preferred .
  • Required: Previous experience of working with Electronic Dental Record program.
  • Required: Doctorate degree in Dentistry.
  • Required: Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Colorado.
  • Required: Graduation from an accredited dental school.
  • Required: DEA License and CPR certification.
  • Successful completion of dental residency is preferred .
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred .

Working Environment and Physical Activities:
Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Communicates information to others.
Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Communications information to others. Discerns/analyzes information from others to assist in decision making. Works independently.
We offer a competitive hourly range of $71.35 - $80.87 depending on your experience.
This range reflects STRIDE's good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.
Employment Type:
This is a PRN (as-needed) position. Hours may vary based on organizational needs.

This PRN position may not be eligible for STRIDE's full-time benefits package. Eligibility for any benefits (e.g., retirement or paid time off) is determined based on hours worked, position type, and organizational policy.
