Primary Purpose of Position
The Willie A. Deese College of Business & Economics at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Instructor. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching student success and professional development courses as part of our student success colloquium. Courses may include Student Success Colloquium (FRST 101, COBE 201, and/or COBE 301). This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and professional journeys.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop and deliver engaging and interactive course content focused on key skills for academic success, including time management, study strategies, goal setting, and academic planning.
โ€ข Provide personalized guidance and support to students to help them navigate the college experience and achieve their academic and career/professional goals.
โ€ข Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
โ€ข Monitor student progress and performance, offering timely feedback and support to promote student success.
โ€ข Collaborate with fellow instructors and administrators to ensure the course effectively meets student needs and objectives.
Part-time, temporary, flexible hours, with a potential course load of 3-6 credit hours. In person instruction. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis.
