Job description

Overview
Are you looking for Part-Time work? Less than 30 hours per week? Then Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company in Tama, Iowa, may be the place for you! We are seeking individuals interested in working part-time in our Quality Assurance department as Slaughter Food Safety Technician. If this is you, Apply TODAY!!
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Food Safety Technicians are responsible for monitoring carcasses and the processing aids used in the slaughter process. This may include checking spray nozzle patterns, titrating organic acids, visual inspections of product, monitoring sanitary dressing, and speaking with production personnel. Food Safety Technicians assist with sampling and perform pre-operational environmental inspections. Other duties as assigned.
The is a safety sensitive position. This is not a remote position.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must be available to work Monday, Friday, and Saturday
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • A knowledge of HACCP Process (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
  • Experience with email communications
  • Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Beef products knowledge is preferred
  • Ability to withstand extreme hot/cold environments
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

This is an hourly, management support position. Must be available to work holidays
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
