Job description

Job Title:         Quality Engineer
Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration:         1 Year
Location:         Dubuque, IA 52001
Shift:                1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities
• Support quality activities in fabrication and pre-paint operations
• Perform in-process quality checks and audits
• Document non-conformances and initiate containment actions
• Coordinate with Quality team on suspect material disposition
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing and weld standards
• Work with inspectors and welders to resolve repeat quality issues
• Use quality planning tools for new product quality plans
• Apply quality tools to minimize risk and prevent defects
• Investigate product and process quality issues
• Recommend updates to control plans and prints
• Gather and analyze quality data for EOFP, EPDP, and CSP
• Perform quality and ISO audits
• Maintain quality manuals and factory databases
• Monitor quality tracking systems
• Assist with warranty claim reviews and investigations

Must Have
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Knowledge of quality systems and inspection criteria
• Experience with non-conformance documentation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work closely with operators and engineering teams
