Quality Control Inspector Automotive Accessory Manufacturing

Location: Altoona, IA

Employment Type: FullTime

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5 a.m to 3:30 pm. Overtime as needed.

About the Role

Were looking for a detaildriven Quality Control Inspector to join our automotive accessory manufacturing team. In this role, youll ensure that every part leaving our facility meets the highest standards of precision, durability, and OEMlevel quality. If you take pride in catching issues before they become problems, this is your kind of environment.

What Youll Do

  • Inspect Incoming Materials to verify plastics, metals, fasteners, and electronic components meet engineering specifications.
  • Perform InProcess Inspections during fabrication, assembly, finishing, and packaging stages.
  • Conduct Final Product Audits on accessories such as interior trim, racks, running boards, lighting components, and interior/exterior addons.
  • Use Precision Measurement Tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
  • Identify and Document Defects and communicate findings to production and engineering teams.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis and corrective action initiatives.
  • Maintain Accurate Quality Records for traceability and audits.
  • Ensure Compliance with internal and customerspecific requirements.
  • Promote Safety and 5S Standards in all inspection areas.
