Job description

Summary:
Be part of our talented Food and Beverage team as Barista at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas. Located in Greater Palm Springs, Grand Hyatt Indian Wells has completed a property-wide renovation and up branding from Regency to Grand.Grand Hyatt features 531 newly transformed luxury guestrooms, suites, casita-style villas, and two brand new Celebrity Chef (Angelo Sosa) food & beverage venues. Set within the perfect backdrop of scenic Indian Wells, this property will be a destination favorite as it is positioned to take hospitality to a new level in the destination.
The hourly pay-rate for this position is $17.00 with the opportunity to earn additional income through tips. This is the pay rate for this position that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay.
The Barista will provide service in Camino Springs Market coffee-shop located on the property of the resort, preparing food and beverages in accordance with menu standards and provide a welcoming and clean environment for guests. Other responsibilities include payment processing using POS system, restocking product shelves, selling retail merchandise, and other responsibilities as assigned by managers.

Qualifications:
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about25 pounds)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Riverside County Food Handler's license must be obtained.
