Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard - Part Time in Beaverton, Ontario.
Job Title: Security Guard - Part Time
Type: Part-time
Pay rate: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
Shifts: Saturday - Sunday 2000-0800
Overview :
We are looking for Security Guard - Part Time who is tasked with providing constant surveillance, protection, and a visible security presence within the client's site. This role typically involves standing for extended periods—often for 8 hours or more during a shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Incident Reporting: Document and report incidents accurately, ensuring all relevant details are captured for future reference and analysis.
  • Maintain a visible security presence: Staying stationed at a fixed location within the retail premises to deter theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activities.
  • Threat Assessment: Evaluate situations to determine the level of risk and recommend appropriate responses.
  • Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication through email correspondence with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Assist customers and staff: By providing directions, answering safety-related questions, and offering assistance as needed, without disrupting the flow of operations.
  • Emergency Response: Act swiftly in emergency situations, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, inspections, and other relevant documentation for compliance and review.
REQUIREMENTS :
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a security sector.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • First Aid and CPR
