Job Summary: This is a 0.8 FTE continuing contract position for a middle school Science Teacher. Under the direction of the Principal, responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.
Special Duties/Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have a progressive instructional approach and a student-centered lesson design approach. They will have a strong understanding of the State Science Standards, the State testing model, and will be expected to implement the District science curriculum in collaboration with colleagues.
Total Comp Salary Range: $75,666 - $150,267 per 2025-26 Snohomish Education Association Salary Schedule (Anticipated salary increase effective September 1, 2026.) Placement on the salary schedule is determined by official documentation verifying educational level and work experience. Salary will be prorated for less than a full-year and/or part-time employees.
Contract: 180-days, includes 12 sick and 3 personal days per year (prorated for less than a full year)
Endorsement Required: Elementary Education/Science
Qualifications:
  • Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
  • Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for duration of employment with the District when required for position by Board Policy.

Applicants are responsible for determining that they have the appropriate endorsement and current Washington State certification for the position.
