Harrisburg, PA โ€ข On-site

Job description

Company Description
Do you want to be part of a growing specialty that is changing the way people recover and heal?
Read this carefully-this might be the most important part-time job post you read this year. This is not a small support role; it's a career-track opportunity for someone who wants to grow in a specialized and growing field of healthcare.
At Madden & Gilbert Physical Therapy, we help people get back to normal naturally and have expanded our services to include Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). We are looking for a dependable, motivated team member to help us deliver an exceptional patient experience and support the day-to-day operations of our growing HBOT program.
What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?
HBOT is a specialized treatment where patients breathe oxygen in a pressurized chamber, allowing the body to absorb more oxygen than normal, which can accelerate tissue healing, decrease inflammation, and reduce recovery time. Many patients come to us when traditional treatments have fallen short.
No hyperbaric experience? No problem. We prefer someone with a clinical background (EMT, Medical Assistant, or similar) who is ready to learn a new specialty and grow into a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT).
The Atmosphere
Unlike a busy hospital setting, our HBOT program is calm, focused, and patient-centered. You'll spend quality time with patients, helping them feel comfortable and safe during their HBOT sessions. We want someone excited to get in on the ground floor, learn the operations from the inside out, and grow as our program expands.
Job Description
What You'll Actually Do
You will help keep our hyperbaric department organized, prepared, safe, and running smoothly.
Your Core Responsibilities:
โ€ข Patient Experience: Greet patients warmly, prep chambers with fresh linens, and help create a calm, professional, supportive environment.
โ€ข Clinic Operations: Assist with EMR tasks, including check-in, scheduling, charges, and payments. Keep supplies and commonly used forms stocked and ready.
โ€ข Safety & Maintenance: Complete daily safety checks and logs. Assist with chamber cleaning, routine maintenance, and managing clinic laundry.
โ€ข Organization: Prepare and scan documents; maintain accurate and organized patient records. Help prepare for the following day.
The Growth Path
This role begins as part-time, with the intention of growing into a full-time position as the clinic expands and patient volume increases. We are looking for someone ambitious, coachable, and excited by the opportunity to become a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT).
Qualifications
You're the right person if...
You believe no task is too small when it comes to delivering great patient care, and no goal is too big when it comes to your own growth. You understand that the little things-like a clean chamber, stocked supplies, and maintained equipment-are the foundation of an excellent patient experience.
โ€ข Detail-oriented: You are a self-starter who takes pride in clean spaces, organized paperwork, stocked supplies, and completed checklists.
โ€ข Ownership: If something needs attention, you handle it.
โ€ข Communicator: You are professional, friendly, and easy to trust.
โ€ข Growth Mindset: You are excited about learning this specialty, taking on more responsibility, and eventually earning your CHT certification.
โ€ข Healthcare Background: Medical or health-related experience is strongly preferred (EMT, Medical Assistant, LPN, or similar).
Additional Information
Why Madden & Gilbert?
We have been helping people in Central PA get back to normal naturally since 2003. We value results and professionalism, and we are committed to helping our team members reach their career goals.
We're building something new with our HBOT program. It's an important part of where we're headed, and this role is a real opportunity for the right person to get in early and build something meaningful with us.
What We Offer
โ€ข A Clear Future: A path from clinical assistant to Certified Hyperbaric Technician. We provide the mentorship and resources you need to earn your CHT certification.
โ€ข The Madden & Gilbert Standard: Join a team that is committed to your professional growth and takes pride in delivering high-quality care every day.
โ€ข Purpose-Driven Work: Do meaningful work that helps people heal and reclaim their lives.
โ€ข Starting Wage: $15 - $16/hour
