Job description

12/22/2025 3/31/2026 Probable Extension Open to Multiple Candidates

Bon Secours Mercy Health Clermont Hospital is seeking Wound Care physicians with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) experience to provide locums coverage in their HBOT & Wound Care clinic during a transition between permanent providers. This is a great opportunity to step into a well-supported outpatient setting with full travel reimbursement and flexible onboarding.

Assignment Details:
  • Location: Mercy Health Clermont Hospital Batavia, OH
  • Setting: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) & Wound Care Clinic
  • Dates: 12/22/2025 3/31/2026 (high likelihood of extension)
  • Open to multiple candidates to fill the ongoing need
  • Reason for Need: Physician gap coverage
  • Patient Volume: patients/day
  • EMR: Epic
  • Credentialing: Temporary privileging potential
  • Travel: Flight, hotel, rental car, or IRS-rate mileage reimbursed
Required Duties:
  • Supervising and managing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments
  • Evaluating wound healing progression in patients
  • Treating and preventing skin breakdown
  • Managing vascular, pressure, and diabetic ulcers
  • Providing comprehensive wound management, including debridement and topical therapies
  • Educating patients and caregivers on wound care and preventive strategies
  • Assessing and treating draining wounds and fistulae
  • Implementing preventative measures to reduce ulcer incidence
  • Providing proper wound dressing instruction
  • Supporting HBOT safety protocols and patient monitoring

Providers with HBOT experience will be prioritized.

Wound Types Seen
  • Acute wounds (all phases of healing)
  • Surgical and non-healing wounds
  • Traumatic wounds (scrapes, punctures, incisions, burns)
  • Ulcers: arterial, venous, pressure, diabetic
  • Chronic venous insufficiency
  • Pilonidal cysts, gangrene, radiation injury, burns
Treatment Modalities
  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
  • Bioengineered skin substitutes
  • Debridement
  • Incision & drainage
  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Skin grafting
  • Unna boot
  • Total contact casting
  • Post-surgical incision management
Submission Requirements
  • Active OH License We will help with OH licensure if you have an active IMLC Letter of Qualification.
  • BLS Required
  • ACLS preferred (especially for HBOT supervision)

HBOT experience strongly preferred
