Charter College is a fast-growing career college dedicated to providing students with the education and skills needed for success in today’s job market. We are expanding our HVAC program at our Pasco, WA campus and are seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructors to join our team.
Our mission is to guide students toward both academic excellence and personal growth through caring instruction, professional development, and hands-on learning experiences.
Position Overview:
We are looking for Part-Time HVAC Instructors who are passionate about their trade and committed to helping students achieve their career goals. If you have experience in the HVAC field and enjoy mentoring others, we invite you to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the approved curriculum.
  • Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms; develop these materials as needed.
  • Maintain daily lesson plans and instructional schedules.
  • Monitor student attendance and retention; document per administrative requirements.
  • Grade assignments promptly and provide constructive feedback.
  • Offer educational assistance during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
  • Substitute for other instructors as needed.
  • Advise students on academic performance, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage classroom equipment and supply inventory.
  • Maintain professional appearance and uphold college standards.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to meet accreditation requirements.
  • Ensure students adhere to college policies and guidelines.
  • Attend all mandatory faculty meetings.
  • Participate in committees such as curriculum development and student retention as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience in HVAC.
  • HVAC certification preferred.
  • Prior teaching or training experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and mentoring skills.

Schedule & Compensation:
Two shifts to pick from: 
  • Part-Time Day: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • Part-Time Evening: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Compensation: Paid by course — $1,250 to $1,450 per 5-week class.
