Prasada Center for Wellbeing is in need of Counselors for North Jersey Counties referred youth and families. We serve Morris, Sussex, Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Somerset, Warren, Hunterdon, Hudson, Middlesex and Monmouth Counties.

Prasada Center for Wellbeing offers therapeutic counseling, coaching and health care services in the homes and communities of New Jersey families, the ideal environment to promote healing, growth and support for emotional well-being. It offers services within two healthcare segments; children and family services that provide mental and behavioral health counseling and coaching. In addition Prasada offers therapies and supports for Autistic children and children with intellectual and developmental delays.

Pay Range:

Contract/Part Time: $66 - $90/hour based on experience, licensure, additional languages, certifications, additional clinical supervision. Rates are based on caseload size. The more cases your accept the higher your pay rate.

Fulltime: Up to $85,000 - $90,000/year based on experience, licensure, additional languages, certification and additional supervision.

Fulltime Benefits:

Skills//Duties

  • Provide therapeutic crisis counseling services to children and families in their home. Telehealth is optional based on families needs.
  • Focus on child assessment, treatment planning and quality care. Instruction in learning adaptive frustration tolerance, self-regulation, and expression.
  • Teach Stress Management
  • Focus on crisis stabilization for short term therapeutic work.
  • Teach children and caregivers strategies to help manage the child's symptoms.
  • Deliver care based on evidenced based practices and must be in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
  • Social Skills development and Problem Solving Skills
  • Parent training and support
  • Provide individual clinical supervision for In Home Behavioral Assistants.
  • Collaborate with Mobile Response and Stabilization and Care Management Care Managers.
  • Complete treatment plans and progress notes in EHR in accordance with state and agency guidelines.

Qualifications//Requirements

  • Valid New Jersey License for Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Associate Counselor, Licensed Social Worker.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with children with mental health and behavioral challenges and/or autism or other developmental delays.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or other language preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies and methods or
  • Experience in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy strategies and methods.
  • Certification in Floor Time a plus
  • Experience in art therapy, music therapy, play therapy a plus.
  • Valid NJ Drivers License.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills a must.
