LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents.

We are seeking to fill the position of Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN.

  • Hourly Pay range = $35.35 to $38.16 based on experience plus an addl. 10% for evening & night shift.
  • Part-Time shifts available.

Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN Qualifications:

  • Current LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the State of New York.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a long-term care setting or a new graduate with the desire to learn.
  • Knowledgeable DOH/CMS regulations and Electronic Health Records preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN Job Summary:

  • Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action immediately.
  • Observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Monitor residents’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
  • Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions.
