Job description

Human Resource Officer

American Heritage School is seeking a part-time HR Officer to support hiring, benefits, and employee records as Salt Lake City campus expands.ย 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the hiring process from posting through offer: publish job openings, review applications, screen candidates, and schedule and coordinate interviews
  • Correspond with applicants and hiring managers throughout the search
  • Prepare new-hire paperwork and maintain accurate, confidential personnel records
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment and serve as a first point of contact for employee benefits questions
  • Schedule and track year-end performance reviews and follow up on completion
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to faculty and staff on HR matters

Qualifications

  • Competent writing and communication skills, with proven discretion in handling confidential information
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new systems and skills as the office expands

Position Details

  • Approximately 20 hours per week
