Job description

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is a CARF-accredited, nonprofit provider of outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department.
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week (on-site)
Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork
  • Maintain employee records and HR files
  • Support recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews
  • Track employee trainings, certifications, and compliance requirements
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration tasks
  • Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and employee communications
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR Manager

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or a related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute
  • Previous administrative or HR experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills
