We are Children’s Museum of Atlanta, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), the only educational venue of its kind in the city. The Front of House position is a part time, non-exempt, hourly position with a varied schedule that consists of weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This position reports to the Guest Experience Manager in the Guest Experience Department.


Primary Role:  

To deliver superior customer service and provide a clean, safe, fun, and educational environment by actively engaging with all Museum guests in the Welcome Center, Store, and Security areas

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage with all guests in a cheerful manner 
  • Communicate Museum information fully and accurately 
  • Open and close Front of House areas: Welcome Center, Store, and building daily 
  • Make announcements as scheduled 
  • Work on the exhibit floor to tidy up, clean and sanitize
  • Maintain familiarity with store inventory and age relevance to provide recommendations 
  • Conduct accurate sales transactions using Point of Sales software
  • Ensure data integrity: accurate entry and format in all CMA tools
  • Sell Museum memberships and help reach monthly goals 
  • Provide farewell services and concierge type services to guests  
  • Troubleshoot issues: technical and customer service related
  • Maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests  
  • Confirm guests have proper tickets, badge, or staff escort before passing the security check point
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings
  • Attend and engage in team meetings

General:

  • Follow all Staff Expectations and Policies for role and department

  • Know and talk about museum programs, exhibits, and memberships
