Job Description

Making the people around us feel special is what we do.  As our lei greeter, you will be an icon of Hawaiian hospitality, welcoming visitors with open arms and adorning them with beautiful flower lei.  You will be an integral part of the Hawaiian experience by giving guests their first taste of the Aloha spirit as they arrive at the hotel.  The warm greeting and genuine hospitality you provide will be that start of an amazing experience and will help us turn moments into memories for our guests.

Hourly Rate: $23.50

What you will be doing: 

  • Greet all guests in a warm, friendly and efficient manner bringing the sense of aloha with each interaction
  • Escort arriving guests from the Porte Cochere to the front desk, recognizing our loyal returning guests by name and introducing the agent to the guest
  • Offer a local amuse-bouche to enjoy while guests are checking in
  • Provide assistance with transportation and directions for our guests and patrons
  • Share accurate information about and promote resort amenities, events and activities, when interacting with guests including (but not limited to) hours of operation, promotions, menu selection, venue and guest room location and current events.
  • Interact with our guests and patrons in the lobby, sharing your knowledge and passion for Hawaiian culture and history, giving our guests a sense of place
  • Replenish beverages, guest drinking glasses, amuse-bouche and serving trays
  • Assist the Bell Desk with coordinating the Department's daily activities such as check-ins, departures, vehicle pick-ups, lost luggage, guest transportation and other duties as needed
  • Assist the Bell Desk with clerical duties such as the bellman's log sheet, memos, porterage, schedules and ordering of Departmental supplies
  • Assist wherever and whenever necessary for guest satisfaction and standard of operations

Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including overnight, weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School diploma and/or vocational training

Experience

  • Previous experience in a Guest Service capacity is an asset.
