Job description

Join a growing and well-respected urology practice!

Las Vegas Urology is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide weekend hospital rounding in collaboration with our physician team. This position offers the opportunity to care for hospitalized urology patients while working independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Urology is a rewarding specialty that provides exposure to a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions. Prior urology experience is preferred.

Position Summary

The Weekend Hospital Rounding APP is responsible for evaluating and managing hospitalized urology patients, coordinating care with physicians and hospital staff, and assisting with patient discharges, admissions, and consults as needed. The provider will round at up to three local hospitals and communicate treatment plans with the supervising physicians to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities
  • Round on hospitalized urology patients at up to three local hospitals.
  • Evaluate new consults and follow-up patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physicians.
  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and follow-up care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, case management, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining efficient workflow.
Qualifications
  • Current Nevada licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN/NP-C) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2ย years of advanced practice provider experience; inpatient or hospital rounding experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to exceptional patient care.
