Job description

An opening exists at Fort Roberdeau Historic Site in Sinking Valley, Blair County, Pennsylvania, for a part-time historic site assistant who will work up to a maximum of 999 hours per anniversary year. Our hire will work on special events; assist with or conduct tours and educational interpretation sessions; prepare materials for interpretative stations; staff gift shop, demonstrate understanding of store policies, balance cash drawer, price and display merchandise; answer telephone; perform varied support tasks; and assist with winterization of Fort buildings.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of two years' work experience; dependability and flexibility to be available varied hours (including weekends); strong customer service orientation, proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills; creativity; and an interest in history, education, tourism, or serving in an ambassador role. This job must be performed on site in Blair County, Pennsylvania, and the employer cannot provide work visa sponsorship.

Benefits
