Part Time Nanny
Department: Care Finder
Employment Type: Part Time
Location: Tarrytown, NY
Compensation: $100 / day
Description
A lovely family located off Main Street in Tarrytown is seeking a part-time nanny for their energetic 3.5-year-old. Care is needed Tuesday through Thursday from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. The family may also require occasional backup care on Mondays and Fridays, or in the evenings; however, availability for these additional hours is not required.
Their child is very active and enjoys climbing, visiting the local park, arts and crafts, and playing with monster trucks. There is also a small dog in the home who will take time to warm up to new people; no pet care is required. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and able to provide a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment.
  • Start date: August 17th
  • Length of Position: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; 6:30 am to 9:30 am
    • Additional needs: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am to 9:30 pm or evening shifts (as-needed; availability for these needs is not required)
  • Compensation: $100 per day

Responsibilities
  • Bathroom assistance
  • Driving the child (family vehicle available)
  • Light housekeeping related to the child
  • Morning routines; breakfast, getting dressed, packing lunch, school drop-offs

Requirements
  • 2 years of paid, professional childcare experience
  • CPR certified, or willing to become certified
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to provide two professional childcare-related references
  • Ability to successfully clear a background + social media screening
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record & valid auto insurance
  • Reliable vehicle preferred
  • Comfortable with dogs

Compensation
This position pays $100 per day, and the family is looking for 9 hours of care per week.
