Familiarity with household management tools, communication apps, and sometimes early childhood education systems is often required. Discretion, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills help build trust with families and ensure a nurturing environment. What is a Full Time High End Nanny?

A Full Time High End Nanny is a professional childcare provider who works exclusively for families seeking the highest standard of care for their children. These nannies often have extensive experience, specialized training, and may hold certifications in child development or first aid. Their responsibilities go beyond basic childcare, often including educational support, travel with the family, and managing children's schedules. They typically work long or flexible hours and are expected to maintain discretion and confidentiality. High end nannies are usually compensated at a premium rate due to their qualifications and the level of service they provide.

The main difference lies in the work arrangement and scope of responsibilities.

What are some unique challenges faced by high end nannies working full time for private families?

Full time high end nannies often navigate complex schedules, high expectations for discretion and professionalism, and the need to adapt to the distinct parenting philosophies of their employers. Job description

Overview

JACKSONVILLE, FL (NOCATEE: LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) - A private, high-level family is seeking an exceptional FULL-TIME NANNY / HOUSE MANAGER to support their 10-year-old daughter and maintain seamless household operations in a refined, long-term role. This position is ideal for a polished, career nanny who brings discretion, structure, and a calm, proactive presence, and who thrives in a high-trust, professional household environment.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 50 hours per week, with flexibility required. The child attends school during the day, with varying schedules from approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 5:30 PM, depending on the day. The role requires adaptability to manage both morning routines and afternoon/evening transitions, as well as flexibility for additional coverage, including overnight care during family travel.

This role is a true nanny and household manager blend. Responsibilities include full-charge care focused on the child's safety, development, and well-being, as well as planning engaging, age-appropriate activities, supporting academic responsibilities, and fostering independence and emotional intelligence. The nanny will manage school logistics, extracurricular activities, and daily routines while maintaining clear and consistent communication with the parents.

Household management is a key component of this position. The nanny will maintain a high level of organization throughout the home, assist with laundry and light housekeeping, manage household inventory and supplies, coordinate vendors, and implement efficient systems to ensure the home runs smoothly. Meal preparation is also required, including planning and preparing nutritious meals for both the child and family.

The home is located in Nocatee, a premier gated community in Jacksonville, offering a resort-style lifestyle with parks, walking paths, and excellent amenities. The household includes one calm and friendly 2-year-old Goldendoodle, and candidates must be comfortable with pet care, including feeding, walking, and general support.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in high-end private households and operates as a true partner within the home. They are highly organized, intuitive, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and execute with excellence. Strong communication skills, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to balance independence with collaboration are essential.

Requirements include a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, a reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed), CPR certification, and comfort with swimming, as the home includes a pool. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and comfortable with a flexible schedule.

The family prefers candidates who receive an annual influenza vaccination. Compensation is $30+/hr commensurate with experience, paid via payroll on a weekly or bi-weekly basis + 10 PTO days & TBD on holidays provided. This is a long-term opportunity for a highly capable professional seeking a stable, high-trust role within an established household. Start date is May 18-26, 2026.
